What is kept, why, and how to have it sent to you or deleted.
Who looks after your data
EZ Move is run by JTS, a small software business based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA. For anything about your data, write to ezmove@jtsapps.com. A person reads every message.
What is kept, and why
- Your account: your email address, your business name if you gave one, and your password, stored only as a one-way scrambled form that cannot be turned back into the password.
- Whether you have paid: your plan, its dates, and the reference Stripe gives the payment. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to JTS.
- What you put into EZ Move, so it is there next time you sign in. The section below says what that is for this tool.
- Messages you send us, so we can answer them.
What is never done with it
It is never sold, never used for advertising, never shown to another customer, and never used to compare you with anyone.
Who helps us run it
- Fly.io runs the servers, in Dallas, Texas, USA, where your data is stored.
- Stripe takes card payments.
- Google Workspace carries the email we send you and the email you send us.
- Google Fonts supplies the typeface on our public pages, so Google sees your internet address when it sends it.
- Cloudflare answers the lookup that turns our web address into a server address. Your visits do not pass through it.
Cookies and visit counts
- One cookie keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one is used while you move between JTS tools. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
- We count how many times each public page is opened, as plain numbers per page per day. No cookie is set and no internet address is kept for this.
How long it is kept, and your choices
- Your data is kept while you have an account, so it is all there if you stop paying and come back.
- Ask, and we send you a copy, correct it, or delete your account and everything in it. A deletion is done within 30 days; copies in our backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle after that. Payment records the law makes us keep are kept for as long as it says.
- Where the law in your country gives you more rights over your data, we honor them.
- EZ Move is made for businesses and adults, not for children.
Last changed: October 8, 2026.
What EZ Move keeps for your business
EZ Move runs in your browser, but what you save in it is kept on our server at Fly.io — on that server and not on your own computer — so it is there on any phone or computer you sign in on.
- Your rates and settings: hourly rates, crew speeds, your fleet, fees and the long-distance figures.
- What your estimates say about you: the business name, phone, email and closing line you put in Settings, printed on the estimates you send.
- The jobs you save: the house or the list of what is in it, the stairs, miles, packing and move date, the estimate it gave and the rates it was priced with, and what the job really took once you log it.
- Your customer's details, only if you type them in: name, phone, email, the pickup and drop-off addresses and your notes for them. Every one of them is optional. They are kept with that job, shown only on your own screens and on the estimate you choose to send, and deleted when you delete the job or your account.
- The house you are walking: the rooms and things counted in Walk the house, kept on your account so a phone call or a dead battery loses nothing, until you start a new house.
What your customers get
- JTS never contacts your customers on its own and never markets anything of its own to them: the only messages they get are the ones your business sends through EZ Move. Text it and Email it open the messages or email app on your own phone or computer, and you send the estimate yourself.
- Your website quote, once it is on your website, emails a customer who gives it an email address, in your business's name, and their replies come to you: the link back to a quote they saved, the confirmation of a move they booked or a date they asked for, and reminders 3 days and 1 day before a booked move. It can also send up to three follow-ups about a price they did not book or save (you switch these on or off in its settings); each of those, like the saved-quote email, has a link to stop them.
- A link to an estimate is made only when you press Make a link to send them. It is long and random, anybody holding it can read that one estimate and nothing else, and search engines are told to keep out.
- The estimate shows your business details, the customer's details, the addresses, what is moving, the crew, the time, and the price with the rate it was worked out at — never your other rates, your crew speeds or the rest of your settings.
- Stopping the link on the job's page (Stop this link), or deleting the job, makes it open nothing, for good.
Getting it out, and deleting it
- Settings, then Download everything, gives you all of it in one zip file, the jobs as spreadsheets, even after the account has locked.
- A saved job can be deleted on its own page, customer details and all. Settings, then Delete my account, deletes the business and everything in it.
- Sample workspaces (Try it with sample numbers) start with made-up rates and jobs and belong to no account. Each one is deleted, with anything put into it, within 24 hours, or as soon as you leave it.
